Vector Flow Imaging
Vector Flow Imaging (VFI) mode enables angle independent visualization of blood flow.
Vector Flow Imaging mode enables you to see and estimate the direction and velocity of blood flow in all directions and at any angle. This provides non-angle dependent visualization of blood hemodynamics for carotid and other arteries and veins in real time. VFI is offered as an option on BK Ultrasound systems with Quantum Plus Technology™.
Here’s what researchers have to say about this technology:
- Ultrasonic colour Doppler Imaging. Evans et al. 2011
- Comparison of real-time in vivispectral and vector velocity estimation. Pederson et al. Ultrasound Med Biol2012
Note: VFI has not been licensed by Health Canada.
