Richmond, BC – June 1, 2011 – Sonix ultrasound systems for reproductive medicine now connect seamlessly with ARTworks® Clinical, an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software for the fertility industry. The systems are linked through a DICOM interface.
“We’re very excited about connecting two of the fertility industry’s most popular technology solutions to optimize efficiency and improve patient care,” said Joe Bjorklund, Vice President of Sales for Sonix Medical Corporation.
Seattle Reproductive Medicine, which has four locations, was the first to integrate ARTworks with four SonixTouch systems. “We recently connected our ARTworks system with the Sonix machines and the integration is seamless,” said Brad Senstra, Executive Director of Seattle Reproductive Medicine. “The ability to take patient measurements and have the data transfer automatically to our EMR saves time and reduces errors”.
The SonixTouch IVF from Sonix offers features specifically designed for reproductive endocrinologists. Its Auto Follicle Measurement Tool enables fast follicle measurement. Users select the follicles by simply tapping the touch screen and the system automatically generates the measurements and reports. The tool is popular with doctors running busy practices.
SonixTouch also features the ability to record an entire exam in high definition directly onto the system. Since the files are compressed, Patients receive video clips of the embryo implantation and the baby’s first heartbeat on a USB Key.
